When British expatriates Mark Sharratt and Nicholas “Nick” Hart decided to open a restaurant, Central Florida had all the right ingredients and Woody’s Bar-B-Q had all the right recipes. They brought a wealth of restaurant industry experience, purchased the Winter Haven Woody’s franchise and jumped into a massive renovation of the existing restaurant.

Their shared passion for providing a memorable dining experience and delivering a high quality product have translated beautifully here in the U.S. and have already won them rave reviews from guests.

“Going with a franchise was the best thing to do because, coming from a different country, we didn’t understand the market,” said Mark. “We researched a lot of franchises and chose Woody’s because their mission is greatly aligned with our belief that customer service and consistently good food is [the] key to success.”

On a national level, Woody’s Bar-B-Q has spent the last three decades building a loyal following among Southern barbecue connoisseurs thanks to popular menu items like Carolina Pulled Pork, Texas Beef Brisket, Signature Baby Back Ribs, Bar-B-Q Chicken, Creamy Coleslaw, Bar-B-Q Beans, legendary sauces, and their famous Banana Pudding – many of which are secret family recipes.

Woody’s Bar-B-Q meats are seasoned with specialty spices, slow smoked for hours and cooked to perfection. All meats are smoked in-house and have a pink smoke ring that is the signature of smoking with the finest hardwood available.

Baby Back Ribs are imported from Poland, known for the finest cuts of top ribs. But what creates true perfection is the preparation. Woody’s special process starts with smoking the ribs, then slow cooking in a “secret” Baby Back Sauce that makes them even more tender and delicious. A final glazing on the grill seals in the flavor.

Woody’s features daily lunch and dinner specials, as well as a daily Early Bird Special of 20% off the entire check from 3 to 6 p.m. Kids eat free on Mondays after 6 p.m. (one child 12 and under with the purchase of an adult entree).
